At the Board’s February meeting, the Board of Directors provided direction to the General Manager to draft a letter of opposition to the Delta Conveyance Project. A few of the reasons for opposition included:
1.) Potential environmental damage to the Delta
2.) Increased exports of Delta water
3.) The State not prioritizing additional water conservation for the south of Delta population
